Today, Dr. Abernathy participated at the Texas Solidarity Party State Convention. She officially nominated by the state party of the American Solidarity Party as the party’s official candidate for Governor of Texas. Dr. Abernathy also led a roundtable discussion on the state of policies concerning abortion and protecting life in a post-Roe world.

Resolution on Recognizing the Nomination of Dr. Jacqueline Abernathy as the Candidate for Governor of Texas for the American Solidarity Party

Whereas the Texas Solidarity Party is a autonomous state chapter of the American Solidarity Party and is able to make nominations of candidates for public office;
Whereas Dr. Jacqueline Abernathy is a well-qualified and excellent write-in candidate for Governor of Texas, and a member of the American Solidarity Party;
Whereas according to the current bylaws of the American Solidarity Party a nomination by an autonomous state chapter carries the same weight as a national one;
Whereas there are no other ASP members that are running for Governor of Texas and no independent candidates or candidates of other parties that are acceptable to the American Solidarity Party or the Texas Solidarity Party;
Be It Resolved that the Texas Solidarity Party formally recognizes the nomination of Dr. Jacqueline Abernathy as the party’s candidate for Governor of Texas;
Further Resolved that the Texas Solidarity Party is committed to providing assistance to her campaign through means, both material and financial;
Further Resolved that the Texas Solidarity Party will provide assistance to Dr. Jacqueline Abernathy with regard to ballot access, promotion on official party communications, use of party resources, and other means deemed necessary.
