Fellow Texans,
My heart hurts so badly that I may vomit.
Once again, there has been a mass shooting in Texas, and, for the second time in four years, it has happened at a school.
Today, more than a dozen children were dropped off at a place that should be one of the safest places in the world for a child, and now they are not coming home. And that is sickening.
We, as a state, need to do better to protect our children. And that means common sense regulation on firearms and actual steps to improve how this state cares for those with mental illness, as, I am sure we will learn in the next few days, the murderer probably suffered from one.
May God bless the families affected by this atrocity, and may we, as Texans, actually do something so their children, and their teacher, did not die in vain.
